Position Summary
Prepare a variety of cold dishes, including salads, cold hors d'oeuvres, and other chilled appetizers.
Work creatively and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a high-paced kitchen environment.
Preparation and Presentation
- Prepare and plate cold appetizers according to restaurant standards and recipes.
- Ensure the quality, presentation, and consistency of all cold dishes served.
Menu Development
- Assist in developing and updating the cold appetizer menu.
- Create new cold appetizer recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Ingredient Management
- Select and procure ingredients for cold appetizers.
- Ensure ingredients are fresh and stored properly to maintain quality.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Quality Control
- Conduct regular quality checks on cold dishes.
- Respond to customer feedback and make adjustments to improve dishes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cold Appetizer Chef or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Strong background preparing a variety of cold appetizers.
- At least one year of experience as a Cold Appetizer Maker is required.
Skills
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency with kitchen equipment.
- Creative culinary skills and an eye for detail in presentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Employment and Pay
- The role is full-time.
- Pay is AED 2,000 to AED 3,500 per month.
Work Location
- Work is performed in person.
