Role Overview

This entry-level position is listed on behalf of a partner company and is intended for a Business Financial Analyst (Associate) based in India.

The role supports financial planning, forecasting, reporting, profitability analysis, investment evaluation, and financial performance management.

The position is suited to a recent graduate seeking to build corporate finance or business operations experience.

Accountabilities

  • Assist with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, and analyses covering revenue, expenses, margins, headcount, utilization, and operating metrics.
  • Support monthly financial close and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Investigate financial variances and communicate findings to Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Support cost analysis, expense tracking, profitability analysis, and financial performance reporting.
  • Assist with investment analysis, return-on-investment calculations, payback analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Maintain dashboards, financial models, planning templates, reporting files, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Delivery, Contracting, Sales, and business leadership teams.
  • Improve reporting processes, data quality, automation, and operational efficiency using Excel-based tools.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or an MBA with a relevant specialization.
  • MBA Finance candidates and MBA Tech candidates are eligible.
  • 0–2 years of relevant internship, academic-project, or professional experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, numerical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and basic financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with large datasets or Excel-based analyses is advantageous.
  • Exposure to ERP, financial planning, business intelligence, or reporting tools is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles is preferred; US GAAP familiarity is a plus.
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, collaborate, and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Ability to work the 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST shift.
