AWS Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

Accountabilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain modular AWS cloud systems and infrastructure.
• Advise clients on AWS cloud design, architecture, and implementation.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application deployment challenges.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management.
• Implement CI/CD with GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
• Configure Kubernetes clusters and support containerized application deployments.
• Design and maintain secure AWS networking, including VPCs and related controls.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cloud costs.
• Ensure data storage and processing solutions meet client requirements and standards.
• Apply AWS security best practices across architecture, deployment, and operations.
• Track emerging AWS services, automation technologies, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and clients across changing project requirements.

Requirements

• Experience as a Cloud Engineer, AWS Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related infrastructure professional.
• Hands-on production or client-environment experience deploying and configuring AWS resources.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
• Experience configuring Kubernetes and deploying applications in containers.
• Understanding of AWS networking, VPC architecture, cloud security, automation, and configuration management.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues and identify optimization opportunities.
• Clear technical communication, client advisory ability, adaptability, and stakeholder collaboration.
• AWS Associate- or Professional-level certification is preferred.

Compensation

• Expected base salary is $105,000–$120,000 USD annually, depending on experience, skills, and location.
• The role includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
