- Design, engineer, configure and test substation automation systems with a focus on cybersecurity
- Develop and standardize substation HMI/SCADA using Siemens WinCC/SCC
- Engineer and integrate substation automation using SICAM PAS
- Configure SICAM A8000 RTUs using SICAM Device Manager
- Configure Bay Control Units using DIGSI 5 (SIPROTEC 5 series)
- Handle GOOSE engineering/configuration using DIGSI 5
- Perform automation system FAT and support site troubleshooting
- Create and manage IEC 61850 system configuration (SCL, ICD, CID, SCD files)
- Engineer GOOSE messaging and MMS reporting
- Validate interoperability among multi vendor IEDs
- Configure and troubleshoot substation communication protocols
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot L2/L3 networks for substations
Requirements
- Experience with Siemens automation platforms: SICAM SCC, SICAM PAS, SICAM Device Manager (A8000 RTUs), DIGSI 5 (SIP5)
- Expertise in IEC 61850 engineering (SCL, ICD, CID, SCD files, GOOSE, MMS)
- Knowledge of substation communication protocols: IEC 61850, IEC 60870 5 104, Modbus TCP/RTU, SNMP
- Network engineering skills: L2/L3 switching, routing, RSTP, PRP, HSR, VLANs
- Cybersecurity knowledge for OT networks (IEC 62443 or utility standards)
- Experience with cybersecurity tools: firewalls, NIDS, anti malware, secure remote access, RBAC
- Ability to perform FAT, site troubleshooting, and cybersecurity risk assessments

Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Automation & Cybersecurity Engineer, responsible for designing, engineering, configuring and testing automation systems with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
- The role involves working extensively with Siemens automation platforms such as SICAM SCC, SICAM PAS, SICAM Device Manager (A8000 RTUs) and DIGSI 5 (SIP5) as well as integrating them into secure and high availability substation networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Substation Automation Systems & Utility Protocols Siemens Systems & Tools: Develop and standardize substation HMI/SCADA using Siemens WinCC/SCC.
- Engineer and integrate substation automation using SICAM PAS.
- Configure SICAM A8000 (SICAM Device Manager).
- Configure Bay Control Units using DIGSI 5 (SIPROTEC 5 series).
- Handle GOOSE engineering/configuration using DIGSI5.
- Perform automation system FAT and Support site troubleshooting.
- IEC 61850 Engineering: Create and manage IEC 61850 system configuration (SCL, ICD, CID, SCD files).
- Engineer GOOSE messaging, and MMS reporting.
- Validate interoperability among multi vendor IEDs.
- SCADA & Protocol Integration: Configure and troubleshoot substation communication protocols: IEC 61850, IEC 60870 5 104, Modbus TCP/RTU, SNMP for network monitoring.
- Network Engineering Routing & Switching: Design, configure, and troubleshooting L2/L3 networks for substations.
- Design and Implement network redundancy using RSTP, PRP, and HSR.
