Responsibilities
- Prepare shop, fabrication, GA, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop drawings for structural steel and non-structural metal works.
- Detail columns, beams, frames, platforms, stairs, ladders, supports, and structural connections.
- Detail handrails, balustrades, cladding, canopies, and architectural metal works.
- Prepare fabrication and installation or erection drawings.
- Read structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, site teams, fabrication or workshop teams, and project managers.
- Revise drawings for site conditions, engineering comments, and client or consultant requirements.
- Ensure drawings are practical and suitable for fabrication and installation.
- Prepare basic MTOs or BOMs and support quantity take-offs when required.
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of UAE experience in AutoCAD drafting or detailing.
- Structural steel fabrication, steel construction, or metal works experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and structural or non-structural steel works.
- Strong knowledge of steel detailing, connections, welding symbols, sections, plates, and fabrication requirements.
- Ability to independently understand drawings and develop fabrication or shop drawings.
- Tekla Structures or 3D modelling knowledge is an advantage.
- Knowledge of UAE construction or fabrication practices is preferred.
- A Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree, or a Diploma in Drafting or Engineering, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,000–5,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
