Role overview

A partner accounting practice is seeking an AU Tax Senior Accountant based in Australia.

The role supports Australian business and individual clients across tax, accounting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and compliance.

The position is a permanent remote opportunity for an experienced Australian tax professional.

Accountabilities

  • Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS returns accurately and on time.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
  • Review and reconcile client records using accounting platforms such as MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero, and similar systems.
  • Prepare management reports from client accounting data.
  • Provide support on FBT, CGT, income tax, GST, and other Australian taxation matters.
  • Support a portfolio of business, individual, investment property, sole trader, and self-managed super fund clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with Australian requirements.
  • Maintain ASIC corporate registers and assist with corporate compliance activities.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and recurring statutory, tax, reporting, and compliance deadlines.
  • Contribute to accounting-function improvement and high-quality client service.

Required qualifications

  • Have 4+ years of professional experience in Australian taxation and accounting.
  • Have strong practical knowledge of GST, BAS or IAS, FBT, CGT, and income tax requirements.
  • Have prepared tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
  • Have experience managing multiple clients and competing priorities.
  • Understand Australian accounting and financial reporting practices.
  • Work independently in a remote environment with strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Meet statutory and client deadlines consistently.
  • Have strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Have experience with LodgeiT, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Bring a proactive, dependable, and growth-oriented approach to work.

Advantageous experience

  • Experience with self-managed super funds, investment properties, or diverse business clients is advantageous.

Work arrangement

  • The position is permanent and work from home.
  • The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM PHT, aligned with Victorian holidays.

Compensation and benefits

  • The stated salary package is PHP 100,000–130,000, subject to experience and suitability.
  • The company provides desktop or laptop equipment and a backup internet connection.
