- Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by staff nurse
- Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance
- Assist with patient’s elimination, mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking needs
- Assist nursing staff in bed making, sponge bathing and other hygienic activity
- Responsible for segregation of soiled linen as per infection control guidelines
- Assist in maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room
- Assist in maintenance of supply and storage areas
- Act as a messenger when required
- Escort patients to and from the Department as directed by nurse on duty
- Participate in infection prevention and control programs
- Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge
- Participate in scheduled educational activities and observe/report changes to staff nurse
Requirements
- High school graduate
- Intermediate English skills preferred
- Spoken Arabic advantageous
- Demonstrate motivation to work in a health care environment

Job Overview
