Role overview

Accountabilities

• Lead strategic and hands-on product design work and help teams ship high-quality digital experiences.
• Guide teams on product design, UX, design systems, product strategy, and human-centered design.
• Set a high standard for design quality through specific, actionable critique.
• Advise clients, present work, manage feedback, and build long-term relationships.
• Connect user needs, business priorities, and organizational realities through service design and change management.
• Scope engagements, identify client-growth opportunities, and strengthen collaboration with business teams.
• Build an inclusive, collaborative, high-performance design culture.
• Hire, mentor, and develop designers and future design leaders.
• Represent the organization through talks, writing, panels, and industry engagement.
• Create narratives that support adoption of design decisions and provide creative direction across projects.
• Define scalable design systems focused on usability, consistency, adoption, and sustainability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product or UX design experience, including significant design-team management and mentoring.
• Strong expertise across product and UX research, strategy, ideation, execution, and best practices.
• Excellent visual design judgment and awareness of current trends, tools, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to connect design decisions with product roadmaps, release plans, and market positioning.
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative research signals to inform design decisions.
• Strong content design, narrative-building, stakeholder influence, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Cross-functional experience advancing business priorities and delivering measurable user and business value.
• Portfolio showing shipped products, exceptional craft, strategic thinking, and meaningful impact.
• Proficiency with modern design tools and practical use of AI in design workflows.
• Working knowledge of change management and service design.
• Active participation in the design community through writing, talks, panels, or similar activities.
• Commitment to inclusive, accessible design and collaborative team environments.
