Job Description
The Assistant Stewarding Manager supports the Stewarding Manager and helps organize and direct a team delivering quality food and beverage support services.
The position is based at Park Rotana and Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the smooth running of the whole stewarding operation.
- Supervise stewarding employees, facilities, operations, and costs.
- Maintain high sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene, and product and service quality standards.
- Check the proper use of chemicals and washing accessories.
- Coordinate operating par stocks and supplies and approve storeroom requisitions.
- Coordinate daily and next-day requirements with food and beverage and outlet managers.
- Maintain health inspection, attendance, and casual employee records.
- Reduce loss of silverware and flatware.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- A hospitality degree is considered ideal.
- Previous experience in a hotel stewarding department is considered ideal.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Understanding hotel operations, teamwork, business planning, people supervision, and operations supervision.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, customer focus, adaptability, effective communication, and drive for results.
- Ability to lead and support subordinates by example with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural team.
