Role Overview
Transguard Group is recruiting an Assistant Operations Manager - Transport for its Logistics Services team.
The role is based at the company's headquarters in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Freezone.
The position manages daily passenger transportation operations, fleet performance, compliance, costs, and service delivery.
Operations Management
- Manage daily operational activities for the passenger transportation division and group transport.
- Deliver region-wise operational KPIs and manage performance for assigned areas or zones.
- Manage area supervisors and deliver zone-wise scorecard metrics and operational KPIs.
- Work with business units to improve service for internal customers and end-user clients.
- Implement transport policies and procedures and enforce fleet and operational compliance.
Financial and Customer Duties
- Monitor the operational P&L, annual spending against budget, and budget variances.
- Deliver cost per head within the approved budget.
- Execute vehicle scheduling, route planning, and employee transportation management.
- Manage transport suppliers, including service provision, route quotations, and ad hoc requests.
Fleet and Process Improvement
- Coordinate fleet reporting and compliance inspections with fleet and compliance teams.
- Analyze vehicle, driver, and schedule patterns to improve utilization and reduce transportation costs.
- Manage the transport risk register and reported vehicle risks.
- Assess driver and staff performance and identify development areas.
- Train, appraise, and motivate staff to support effective team management.
- Lead deployment of smart routing and scheduling using GPS and TMS tools.
Selection Criteria
- A degree in Logistics is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience in large fleet transport operations is required.
- Passenger transport experience is an advantage.
- At least five years of experience in a transport-related vocation is required.
