Job Purpose

  • To develop, implement, and continuously improve the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and Enterprise Risk Management framework across AMA, ATC, and AMAL ensuring operational resilience, regulatory compliance (ISO 22301, ISO 31000, NCEMA 7000), and organizational readiness during disruptio

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain BCMS framework, policies, and procedures aligned with ISO 22301 and NCEMA 7000.
  • Create, review, and update Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) plans.
  • Embed continuity strategies into business processes through cross functional collaboration.
  • Conduct annual Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Enterprise Risk Assessments (ERA).
  • Identify critical processes, dependencies, and recovery requirements.
  • Assess operational, technological, compliance, and strategic risks.
  • Define recovery time objectives and resource requirements.
  • Develop and implement emergency response and crisis management strategies.
  • Plan and facilitate drills, tabletop exercises, and crisis simulations.
  • Monitor incident trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate BCP drills and scenario based exercises.
  • Analyse exercise outcomes to identify gaps and integrate corrective actions.

Background & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Disaster Management, or related field.
  • Certifications: ISO 22301:2019 – Business Continuity, ISO 31000:2018 – Risk Management, Certified Risk Professional.
  • 1 to 5 years in Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Exposure to operations, technology, and/or financial services environments.
  • Experience coordinating cross departmental continuity and resilience projects.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced MS Office skills; internal auditor certification preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of BCM standards (ISO 22301, BCI), risk frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000, COBIT, ITIL).
  • Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Enterprise Risk Assessment (ERA).
  • IT Disaster Recovery processes and data protection protocols.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with leadership and problem solving capability.
