Role Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role owning and continuously improving application security across a diverse technology environment.
The role embeds security practices throughout the software development lifecycle across multiple applications and engineering teams.
The position combines secure code review, threat modeling, security assessments, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps.
Accountabilities
- Own application security practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Manage application security risks and partner with Engineering on remediation.
- Conduct secure code reviews across C#, .NET, and web applications.
- Lead threat modeling and security assessments.
- Operate SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling across CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain vulnerability visibility, prioritization, and reporting.
- Define secure design and development standards.
- Support Security Champions and mentor developers.
- Communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in application security.
- Strong practical experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Experience reviewing C#, .NET, and modern web application code.
- Understanding of the OWASP Top 10, secure software development, and secure design principles.
- Experience working across teams or platforms with varying security maturity.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Willingness to mentor others and share application security knowledge.
