Job Description Summary
The role is a FACTS Application Engineer focused on STATCOM and SVC projects.
The position leads technical proposal and engineering coordination activities for international FACTS projects from tendering through handover to execution.
The role supports advanced grid solutions within GE Vernova’s FACTS business.
FACTS Business
The FACTS Solution Line owns tendering, operations, research and development, and product management for integrated FACTS solutions.
The portfolio includes FSC, synchronous condensers, SVC, and STATCOM solutions for grid operators, transmission system operators, and developers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee engineering activities from the tendering stage through handover to project execution.
- Coordinate engineering activities with the Bid Manager, engineering team, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with multicultural GE units participating in projects globally.
- Manage overall design activities, define the design quality plan, and supervise engineering tasks during the ITO phase.
- Manage engineering deliverables within the offer budget and delivery timeline.
