About the Role
ADNOC Distribution is looking for a Market Intelligence Analyst to manage market research activities, collect and analyze data from internal and external sources, and generate macro and micro economic reports.

Responsibilities
- Supply market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning and proactively make recommendations to management
- Create and update comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including market share, growth projections and trends
- Perform thorough, systematic analysis of key industry trends, social economic environment, legal/regulatory issues, customers, and competitors
- Provide market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to Executive Leadership Team and internal management
- Maintain up to date knowledge of data sources, evaluating credibility and potential utility
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges
- Manage data from multiple syndicated research services to provide insight and uncover opportunities
- Perform in depth statistical data analysis for primary market research data and identify key insights
- Lead internal customers to explore and analyze market trends and competitor activities
- Ensure accurate development and timely reporting of key periodic reports
- Perform economic research with regards to competitive environment and market analysis
- Organize data into report format and arrange for graphic illustrations of research findings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or any other relevant field
- 3 years of experience in a market research department, preferably in Downstream Oil and Gas sector or similar commodities field, or 3 years in a top tier strategy consulting firm
- Familiar with the UAE and GCC region
- Knowledge of various data analysis and statistical research techniques
- Strong financial modelling and knowledge
- Well versed with data analysis and research languages and tools

Job Purpose
- Contribute in managing ADNOC Distribution Market Research activities by collecting and analyzing data from various internal and external sources.
- Generate macro and micro economic environmental reports, maintain external data and information database relevant to ADNOC Distribution business and Oil and Gas industry.
- Support strategic and business development initiatives and informed decision making.
Key Accountabilities
- Supplies the market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning and proactively makes recommendations to management.
- Creates and updates comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including market share, growth projections and trends.
- Performs thorough, systematic analysis of key industry trends; general social economic environment; legal and regulatory issues; customers; current and potential competitors.
- Provides market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and various internal management teams.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges.
Research and Analysis
- Manage data from multiple syndicated research services to provide insight, uncover opportunities, and support business teams.
- Perform in depth, statistical data analysis for primary market research data and identify key insights.
- Lead internal customers to explore and analyze market trends and competitor activities.
- Ensure accurate development and timely reporting of key periodic reports.
- Perform economic research with regards to competitive environment, market analysis and provide input in annual/quarterly reports.
- Organize data into report format and arrange for graphic illustrations of research findings.
- Identify and capture data sources for the database to ensure diversified and comprehensive sources.
- Implement methods and procedures for collecting and processing data using econometric and sampling techniques.
- Field adhoc requests and support analysis and delivery of information.
- Support ongoing changes in reports and scorecards to address changes in business landscape.
Communication and Relationship Management
- Support Department Manager Economics & Research in communicating analysis and research reports to various audiences.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across ADNOC Distribution and beyond.
- Provide ad hoc strategy support to other teams within ADNOC Distribution as required.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or any other relevant field.
