Analyst - Cyber Threat Intelligence

Job Purpose

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or business.
• Five to seven years of overall experience and three to five years of relevant experience.
• Around three or more years in a technical role with a digital forensics and incident response background.
• Experience across cybersecurity, security operations, threat hunting, threat intelligence, cyber incident response, penetration testing, and red teaming.

Skills, Tools, and Systems

• Experience using the Cyber Kill Chain.
• Expertise using threat intelligence platforms including Recorded Future, Flashpoint, Blueliv, Anomali, and ThreatIQ.
• Experience with digital forensics tools, techniques, concepts, custom tools, and scripts.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting system, security, and application logs.
• Experience with offensive security, including Metasploit, exploit development, OSINT, and enterprise breach techniques.

Preferred Certifications

• GIAC, CREST, or OSCP certification is preferred.
• Examples include GCIA, GCIH, GFCE, GCFA, GMON, GDAT, GCDA, CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst, and CREST Certified Intrusion Analyst.

Engagement Details

• The assignment duration is one year with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Research and report on emerging threats against the client.
• Support the Digital Defence Center in shaping and guiding protection strategies for people and assets.
• Use threat intelligence platforms to investigate and assess cyber threats.
• Conduct digital forensics and incident response activities.
• Perform threat hunting across security operations and cyber incident response contexts.
• Analyze and interpret system, security, and application logs.
• Conduct offensive security activities including penetration testing and red teaming.
• Create and use custom tools and scripts for digital forensics and security analysis.
• Apply the Cyber Kill Chain in threat analysis and intelligence work.
