Role Overview

Manage payroll processing, employee expense accounting, and financial reconciliation for a semi-government organization based in Abu Dhabi.

Support IFRS-compliant payroll accounting, expense claims and reconciliations, and ERP automation within payroll and expense modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll and validate attendance, bonuses, overtime, deductions, and other inputs.
  • Record payroll expenses, prepare accruals and adjustments, and support month-end and year-end closings.
  • Allocate payroll costs across departments, projects, and entities.
  • Process expense claims, travel advances, settlements, and supporting documentation under DoA requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll control accounts, employee advances, petty cash, and expense ledgers.
  • Prepare reporting and consolidation schedules and coordinate payroll and expense data with PB&F.
  • Coordinate with Tax and Compliance on VAT treatment and monitor DoA adherence.
  • Support ERP enhancement and automation initiatives in payroll and expense accounting modules.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • End-to-end payroll processing, validation, and accounting experience under UAE labour law.
  • Experience with employee expenses, travel advances, reimbursement accounting, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, WPS regulations, and financial governance frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating with HR, Treasury, and Finance teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP or business systems such as SAP or Oracle for payroll and expense accounting modules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Professional certification such as CFA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA, or an equivalent certification.

Availability

  • Preference is given to candidates available immediately or within a maximum of 30 days.
  • Candidates must be able to work in the United Arab Emirates.
