Overview
- To ensure smooth and efficient operations of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi Zoological Department by fulfilling duties in animal/guest interactions, animal training, husbandry, enrichment, public presentations, and research.
- Requires standing for prolonged periods, lifting up to 25 kg, and working varying shifts including opening, mid, closing, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs daily husbandry tasks including administration of vitamins and medication.
- Prepares food, provides proper nutrition and constant care of animals.
- Maintains safe, appropriate and sanitary living conditions for all animal habitats.
- Applies proficient behavioral modification techniques including developing and implementing new behavior.
- Ensures guest, personal, and animal safety through constant monitoring.
- Assists in training of colleagues and animals as directed by leadership.
- Provides proactive guest services through guest interactions, pre and post shows.
- Performs assigned roles in education and general public programs.
- Makes daily observations of animals and reports abnormalities.
- Maintains all animal records, equipment, area responsibilities, and communication requirements.
- Functions as Ambassador by displaying consideration, tolerance, cooperation, open communication, and reliability.
- Ensures all policies, guidelines, manuals and SOPs are followed.
