Role Description
The Works Manager/Site Manager oversees day-to-day site operations for roads and infrastructure projects in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This is a full-time, on-site role involving construction planning, scheduling, resource management, quality monitoring, safety enforcement, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise construction activities and coordinate project schedules.
- Manage site resources to support timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Monitor work quality and enforce safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Resolve site issues and prepare regular progress reports and documentation.
- Guide site teams, support training needs, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Customer service orientation for managing stakeholder expectations and professional relationships.
- Research capabilities for reviewing project specifications, technical standards, and construction best practices.
- Project management skills covering site activities, resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Training and mentoring skills that support staff development and safety and quality adherence.
- Proven experience managing roads and infrastructure projects, preferably within the UAE.
- Knowledge of roadworks and civil infrastructure construction methodologies, materials, and equipment.
- Understanding of ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and ISO 45000 standards in construction settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai with problem-solving skills and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
