Role Description
The HSE Engineer / HSE Officer implements and monitors health, safety, and environmental standards across roads, infrastructure, and building projects.
The role is full-time and on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The position covers risk assessments, site inspections, incident investigations, regulatory compliance, HSE planning, records, reporting, training, and safety culture promotion.
Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and incident investigations.
- Prepare and update HSE plans and procedures and maintain related records.
- Report HSE performance to project and management teams.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing awareness sessions.
- Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
Qualifications
- Strong health and safety, occupational health, and environment, health and safety expertise.
- Safety engineering capability covering hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
- A technical degree or diploma in engineering, safety, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Construction or infrastructure project experience in the GCC region is advantageous.
- Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills are required.
- Ability to apply UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and international best practices.
