Role Description
The Team Leader – Shop Drawings leads preparation, review, and coordination of shop drawings and technical documentation for roads and infrastructure projects.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.
The role collaborates with design engineers, project managers, site teams, consultants, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise draftsmen, allocate workloads, monitor progress, and troubleshoot technical drawing issues.
- Coordinate drawings with project specifications, applicable codes, design teams, project managers, and site teams.
- Coordinate consultant and client approvals and maintain drawing records and registers.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and technical reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- Proven roads and infrastructure project experience, including shop drawing preparation and coordination in a technical office, is required.
- Strong knowledge of UAE standards, authority requirements, and applicable roads and infrastructure codes is required.
- Professional engineering or project management certifications are advantageous.
Skills
- Team management, team leadership, troubleshooting, and project management skills are required.
- Technical proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design and drafting tools is required.
- Strong communication, coordination, attention to detail, and organizational skills are required.
Workplace
- The position is full-time and on-site in Abu Dhabi.
