We are now looking for a skilled
Van Sales Supervisor – Traditional Trade (TT)
- who is result oriented, self-driven and ready to take ownership of our van sales operation in TT channel to ensure our van sales operates efficiently, compliantly, profitably, while also serving as mentor, enforcer and communicator.
- This will be ideal for an experienced individual looking for a highly challenging opportunity to play a critical role in the development of a rapidly growing business.
- You will report directly to the Area Lead TT and manage a team of Six direct reports.
- In addition to this, the Van Sales Supervisor will be responsible for
- Responsible for supervision of TT Van salesmen in order to achieve sales and distribution targets
- Responsible for ensuring that van salesmen have their KPIs and targets (monthly, weekly, daily); daily performance reviews / analysis for each KPI
- Responsible for ensuring that van salesmen achieve their KPIs (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Responsible for ensuring that van salesmen visit all customers as per route plans and that orders have been booked accordingly
- Responsible for attending to all customer problems / issues without delay
- To frequently go on route riding with van salesmen to observe, learn, teach / train / coach on site and establish pre seller & customer relations
- Responsible for ensuring that all payments / collections have been done on time. Where there are issues, he is responsible for checking payments status for customers, liaising with accounts, attending to all outstanding payment issues and taking the necessary corrective actions without delay
- Responsible for ensuring all payments are supported by payment advice slips / notes for ease of application in finance
- Responsible for ensuring that merchandising standards or targets are achieved always and van salesmen ensure compliance of merchandising the products in TT stores.
- Responsible for effective communication to team regarding trade schemes, offers/promotions and effective supervision on execution of trade plans.
- Responsible for leading team in conducting price surveys, analyzing and advising management on what is happening and what has to be done
- Responsible for ensuring that company assets / equipment are used exclusively for Arla products – no abuse / misuse
- Responsible for effective & timely execution of BDAs (Business Development Agreements); achievement of BDA targets; completion and submission of signed agreements to Sales Analyst on time
- Responsible for solving all problems that van salesmen face and liaising with the relevant departments to ensure the problems are solved as soon as possible
- Responsible for performing any other duties assigned by superiors / management
- The Ideal Candidate for the role has
- Previous experience and demonstrable track record of exceptional performance in Van sales supervisor role or similar within FMCG for a minimum of 3 years or more.
- Supervisory knowledge and experience in Dairy & beverages industry – added advantage
- Experience of working in UAE market is preferred.
- Proven ability & experience in leading / directing the work of others
- Proven ability & experience in achieving KPIs / targets
- Proven ability & experience in performing variety of tasks (multitasking)
- Possessing strong selling, negotiation & closing skills / abilities
- Possessing excellent communication & presentation skills (both written & verbal)
- Proven ability & experience in setting targets / standards, training, mentoring, coaching and follow up
- You have very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications mainly MS-Excel & PowerPoint.
