The Transport & Ramp Operations Team Leader manages ground transport, catering delivery, and ramp dispatch operations at Hamad International Airport.
The role supports passenger, charter, and VIP aircraft turnarounds in a high-density hub environment.
The position is full-time and on-site in Doha, Qatar.
Airside fleet and delivery
- Lead real-time dispatch and execution of catering transport fleets across aircraft turnarounds.
- Ensure loading, offloading, and hi-loader vehicle positioning align with airline specifications, food safety regulations, and ramp safety protocols.
Operations and incident analysis
- Conduct Voyage Report investigations for transport delays or discrepancies, identify root causes, and define corrective actions.
- Track On-Time Performance data and oversee vehicle maintenance logs.
- Ensure airside safety and PPE compliance across operational teams.
Rostering and team leadership
- Oversee shift scheduling, overtime allocation, and vacation planning for catering drivers and equipment operators under Duty Supervisor guidance.
- Evaluate team performance, allocate operational equipment, and identify training needs for staff.
Candidate requirements
- High school diploma with 2 or more years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 1 or more years of airport ground or catering transport experience.
- Valid Heavy Goods Vehicle driving license.
- Hands-on knowledge of aircraft loading procedures, hi-loader catering vehicles, and ground fleet management.
- Experience in airside operations, shift rostering, and leading driver or equipment operator teams.
- Fluent professional spoken and written English, high attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in shifts.
Salary benchmark
- A published Qatar market benchmark lists a base salary of QAR 12,000 to 18,000 per month for comparable Transport Team Leader or Coordinator roles with 2 to 4 years of experience in Doha.
