Role Overview

Senior Production & Planning Engineer role in Doha supporting integrated supply chain planning, storage allocation, and vessel scheduling.

The role operates in a high-pressure, 24/7 commercial environment connecting producers, storage terminals, port operations, and customer delivery commitments.

Supply Chain and Loading Scheduling

  • Develop loading schedules for Ras Laffan Terminal Operations facilities using tank inventories, rundown rates, and vessel berthing schedules.
  • Resolve berth and loading conflicts with producers, sales operations, and port authority pilots.

Forecasting and Inventory Management

  • Build short- and long-term forecasts for non-LNG products and refinery feedstock balances across operating terminals.
  • Monitor actual versus forecast rundown performance and update models daily.
  • Operate HIMS terminal planning systems to maintain inventory accuracy.

Disruption Mitigation and Governance

  • Analyze planned and unplanned maintenance across storage and loading infrastructure.
  • Create mitigation plans for unexpected downtime and operational bottlenecks.
  • Update scheduling procedures and maintain compliance with joint-venture agreements.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of oil and gas commercial operations and shipping experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a product or oil scheduler.
  • Experience planning and scheduling petroleum, LNG, or refined products.
  • Experience with supply chain constraints, berth allocation, and tank farm inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and stress-management skills for time-critical operations.

Salary Benchmark

  • The description gives a benchmark base salary of QAR 28,000 to 42,000 per month for specialized energy scheduling experience in Doha.
