Role Overview
Bakeri Baltzersen is seeking an experienced Driver and Dispatch Manager for its day-to-day delivery operation.
The role combines packing, driving, dispatch, team supervision, and fleet coordination.
The position is hands-on rather than desk-based and works closely with the Logistics Manager.
Delivery Operations
- Pack products during the first two to three hours of each shift.
- Ensure orders are prepared, loaded, and ready for delivery on time.
- Coordinate daily delivery schedules and dispatch drivers.
- Complete delivery routes regularly.
- Supervise and support the driver team.
- Plan routes and allocate drivers and vehicles.
- Respond to delivery, staffing, and transport issues.
- Monitor driver performance using vehicle tracking information.
- Help onboard and train new drivers.
- Maintain delivery, vehicle, and operational records.
- Liaise with customers and colleagues regarding deliveries and service updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve routes, processes, and operational efficiency.
Fleet Management
- Help manage a fleet of eight electric and diesel vans.
