Job Summary
Inspect, test, and assess tower cranes on high-rise building projects.
Ensure tower cranes operate safely and comply with UAE regulations and manufacturer standards.
Identify defects, maintain inspection records, and coordinate corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine, periodic, and pre-operation inspections of tower cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories.
- Inspect mast sections, bolts, jib, trolley, hoisting system, brakes, motors, wire ropes, limit switches, and safety devices.
- Identify mechanical, structural, and operational defects and prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Verify crane assembly, installation, climbing, and dismantling according to approved procedures.
- Check load indicators, alarms, control systems, and safety devices for proper functioning.
- Inspect slings, shackles, hooks, and other rigging equipment.
- Maintain inspection, certification, maintenance, and corrective-action records.
- Coordinate findings with crane operators, maintenance teams, lifting supervisors, and site management.
- Follow up on defect rectification and ensure cranes are safe before returning to operation.
- Support HSE audits, safety inspections, and compliance checks.
