Job Summary
Implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at construction sites.
Conduct inspections, monitor site activities, report hazards, and support the HSE Engineer and Manager.
Maintain safety standards and workforce adherence to safe work practices.
Site Safety Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety inspections and walkthroughs to identify hazards and non-compliance.
- Enforce PPE, safe work practices, and permit-to-work systems.
- Monitor work at heights, scaffolding, electrical work, excavation, and hot work.
- Report unsafe conditions and initiate corrective actions.
- Assist with incident investigations and document findings.
Training and Emergency Preparedness
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction sessions for workers and subcontractors.
- Check safety signage, emergency exits, firefighting equipment, and first aid facilities.
- Participate in emergency response drills and evacuation exercises under Dubai Civil Defence requirements.
- Maintain inspection, hazard, incident, and training records.
Environmental and Compliance Activities
- Support waste segregation, dust control, noise reduction, and spill containment measures.
- Coordinate with subcontractor HSE personnel on statutory and company requirements.
- Prepare and submit HSSE reports to project management and regulatory authorities.
- Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture among the workforce.
Qualifications and Experience
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or an equivalent safety certification is required.
- Two to four years of site-level HSE experience in building construction projects in Dubai or the GCC is required.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with high-rise building projects and MEP teams is relevant to the role.
Work Location
- Work is performed in person at construction sites.
