Role Overview
Cost Control Engineer position focused on civil cost control for high-rise building projects.
The role is within building construction and contracting in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and cash flow forecasts.
- Track project progress and expenditures against budgeted costs.
- Assist with project budgets and cost estimates.
- Review subcontractor payments, invoices, and variations.
- Coordinate with project management, site engineering, and procurement teams.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain cost records and support monthly financial reports.
- Assist with claims, variations, and change order evaluations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Two to four years of cost control experience in UAE building construction projects.
- High-rise building construction experience is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control software such as Primavera or ERP systems.
- FIDIC knowledge is advantageous.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
