Role Overview
The Transformer Testing Engineer performs factory, site, pre-commissioning, and commissioning tests on power and distribution transformers.
Testing activities must comply with IEC, IEEE, and IS standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform site testing and commissioning.
- Review and verify OEM, FAT, and SAT reports.
- Coordinate with construction, protection, and commissioning teams.
- Prepare test reports, checklists, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during testing activities.
- Interface with clients and consultants during inspections and approvals.
Requirements
- Capability to carry out factory, site, pre-commissioning, and commissioning tests on power and distribution transformers.
- Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and IS standards, project specifications, and client requirements applicable to transformer testing.
- Ability to prepare test reports, checklists, and as-built documentation.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements applicable to testing activities.
