Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and review shop drawings, builder work drawings, coordination drawings, schematic diagrams, isometric drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with BIM and drafting teams to ensure drawings are clash-free.
- Prepare HVAC, pump head, duct sizing, piping sizing, water supply, drainage, and firefighting hydraulic calculations.
- Select and verify AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, chillers, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, water heaters, expansion vessels, and pressurization units.
- Prepare material submittals, technical data sheets, RFIs, and responses to consultant technical comments.
- Coordinate approved materials with procurement and support QA/QC inspections and technical compliance.
- Attend coordination meetings and support planning and construction teams with engineering input.
- Review subcontractor engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, UPC, SMACNA, the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and local authority requirements.
Software Skills
- AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, HAP, Elite Software, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 are listed as required software skills.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP contracting.
- Experience across residential, commercial, hospitality, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE standards and consultant requirements.
- Experience preparing engineering calculations and shop drawings.
- Experience with authority submissions.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- The candidate should be able to join immediately or after a notice period.
- The candidate should have personally reviewed and approved mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements on construction projects.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 8,000 to AED 16,000 per month.
