Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HSE Officer to support health, safety and environmental compliance at our civil construction sites.
The role involves working on active mixed-use developments that may include commercial buildings, retail facilities, external works and landscaping activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions.
- Ensure employees and subcontractors follow approved HSE procedures.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and awareness sessions.
- Monitor PPE compliance and safe working practices.
- Check permits and safety arrangements for high-risk activities.
- Monitor excavation, lifting, scaffolding, work-at-height and general civil works.
- Report incidents, near misses and safety observations.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective-action follow-up.
- Maintain inspection, training, permit and incident records.
- Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and workers.
- Support emergency drills and site safety campaigns.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HSE experience.
- Previous experience on civil or building construction projects.
- Diploma, degree or recognized qualification in health and safety.
- NEBOSH, IOSH or an equivalent safety certification is advantage.
- Good knowledge of construction-site hazards and control measures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with workers and project teams.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Basic computer and HSE reporting skills.
- Must be available to join immediately.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE /Abudhabi are preferred.
Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
