Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the company's Technical and Engineering Department across multiple projects
- Manage complete design coordination process between consultants, architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams
- Oversee preparation, review, and submission of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and as built drawings
- Manage technical coordination and approvals with UAE authorities (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defense, RTA, etc.)
- Provide technical leadership and engineering support to site teams during construction
- Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize cost, constructability, quality, and sustainability
- Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Procurement, Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, BIM, and Construction teams
- Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with contract documents, project specifications, UAE building codes, and company QMS
- Monitor technical KPIs, submission schedules, engineering productivity, and prepare periodic reports for executive management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Master's is an advantage)
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in technical management within leading main contracting companies in the UAE
- Proven experience delivering large scale building projects (high rise, commercial, hospitality, mixed use, premium residential)
- Extensive knowledge of UAE construction practices, engineering standards, and authority approval processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu, and document control systems
- Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or Chartered Engineer are advantageous

Position Summary
- The Technical Manager is responsible for leading the company's Technical Department and providing strategic technical leadership across multiple construction projects.
- The role ensures successful coordination of design, engineering, technical submissions, authority approvals, value engineering, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the company's Technical and Engineering Department across multiple projects.
- Establish technical strategies, procedures, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Manage complete design coordination process between consultants, architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Review IFC drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, coordinated BIM models, and technical documents prior to submission.
- Oversee preparation, review, and submission of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, engineering calculations, mock up approvals, and as built drawings.
- Manage technical coordination and approvals with UAE authorities including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defense, RTA, DDA, Trakhees, Nakheel, Emaar, TECOM, and other regulatory bodies.
- Provide technical leadership and engineering support to site teams during construction.
- Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize cost, constructability, quality, sustainability, and project efficiency.
- Coordinate closely with Project Management, Planning, Procurement, Commercial, Contracts, QA/QC, HSE, BIM, and Construction teams.
- Monitor technical KPIs, submission schedules, engineering productivity, and approval status; prepare periodic technical reports for executive management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or Chartered Engineer status are advantageous.
- Membership in recognized engineering institutions is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in technical management within leading main contracting companies in the UAE.
- Proven experience delivering large scale building projects including high rise residential towers, commercial developments, hospitality projects, mixed use developments, and premium residential communities.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects from design through construction and handover.
- Extensive knowledge of UAE construction practices, engineering standards, and authority approval processes.
- Strong track record in design coordination, technical submissions, shop drawings, BIM coordination, material approvals, and technical compliance.
