Responsibilities
- Define and document the end to end solution architecture, ensuring seamless integration between Sitecore CMS and Microsoft D365 Commerce, as well as other enterprise applications.
- Establish integration patterns (API led, event driven, middleware, etc.) aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead technical discovery workshops and contribute to solution blueprinting.
- Validate non functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and technical design documentation.
- Lead and manage cross functional development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Analyst to refine, validate, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop detailed sprint plans and technical work breakdown structures aligned with Agile/Scrum practices.
- Conduct regular technical design reviews and code quality reviews.
- Oversee environment setup, configuration management, and CI/CD pipeline readiness.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, implementation partners, and internal teams.
- Define deployment, release, and rollback strategies and support production readiness reviews.
Requirements
- Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce (including Retail/Commerce modules) and POS.
- Deep understanding of D365 APIs, data entities, Commerce Scale Unit (CSU), and integration patterns.
- Experience integrating D365 with CMS platforms (including Sitecore or similar).
- Experience with D365 connectors, Power Platform, and Azure integration services.
- Knowledge of pricing engines, promotions, catalog management, order management, and customer data flows.
- Strong understanding of API management, RESTful services, JSON, OAuth 2.0, and SSO integration.
- Experience with Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Azure DevOps).
- Proven experience leading cross functional technical teams (developers, QA, DevOps).
- Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
- Experience delivering large scale digital commerce transformations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- In this role, you’ll shape the technical vision for a major digital commerce transformation, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, and multiple enterprise systems into a cohesive, scalable architecture.
- You’ll guide technical discovery, lead cross‑functional teams, ensure delivery excellence, and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and partners.
- You’ll also play a key role in preparing for deployment and supporting a stable, high‑performing launch.
Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design
- Define and document the end to end solution architecture, ensuring seamless integration between Sitecore CMS and Microsoft D365 Commerce, as well as other enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, PIM, payment gateways, search, etc.).
- Establish integration patterns (API led, event driven, middleware, etc.) aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead technical discovery workshops and contribute to solution blueprinting.
- Validate non functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and technical design documentation.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and manage cross functional development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Analyst to refine, validate, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop detailed sprint plans and technical work breakdown structures aligned with Agile/Scrum practices.
- Conduct regular technical design reviews and code quality reviews.
- Oversee environment setup, configuration management, and CI/CD pipeline readiness.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, DevOps practices, and governance controls.
- Drive technical issue resolution during build, SIT, UAT, performance testing, and hypercare phases.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure performance optimization, caching strategies, and security hardening across platforms.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, implementation partners, and internal teams.
- Review vendor technical deliverables and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Provide executive level updates on technical progress, risks, and decisions.
- Support change adoption, technical enablement, and knowledge transfer activities during hypercare.
Operational Readiness
- Define deployment, release, and rollback strategies.
- Support production readiness reviews.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and incident response processes.
- Guide post launch stabilization and optimization efforts.
About The Team
- We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead/Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to lead a large scale web and e commerce transformation initiative.
- This program involves replacing an existing CMS and e commerce solution with a modern technology stack powered by Sitecore CMS and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, including multiple new enterprise integrations.
- The project spans discovery, solution design, architecture, implementation, testing, and hypercare.

- Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce (including Retail/Commerce modules) and POS.
- Deep understanding of D365 APIs, data entities, Commerce Scale Unit (CSU), and integration patterns.
- Experience integrating D365 with CMS platforms (including Sitecore or similar).
- Experience with D365 connectors, Power Platform, and Azure integration services.

- Experience with security configuration, roles, and identity management within D365.
- Experience with headless commerce or composable commerce architectures.
- Experience enabling Agentic Commerce journeys leveraging Microsoft ecosystem.
Integration & Cloud
- Strong understanding of API management, RESTful services, JSON, OAuth 2.0, and SSO integration.
- Experience with Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Azure DevOps).
- Experience designing event driven and microservices based architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization patterns.
Project Delivery & Leadership
- Proven experience leading cross functional technical teams (developers, QA, DevOps).
- Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
- Experience delivering large scale digital commerce transformations.
