Overview

  • Within IMITS lower mainland consolidated area, the Systems Analyst develops and maintains clinical application systems.
  • Reports to Manager or designate in a multi site health care environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct feasibility studies for clinical applications through user requirements analysis and impact analysis.
  • Develop specifications for complex clinical application systems including flowcharts and implementation plans.
  • Implement system changes and break fixes following IMITS change control and incident management processes.
  • Perform maintenance activities on clinical applications according to departmental standards.
  • Measure and document system performance metrics and liaise with vendors.
  • Support system upgrades and implementations including testing and go live support.
  • Assemble and maintain technical and operational documentation using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Assist with preparation of Requests for Information/Proposal and evaluation of vendor responses.
  • Provide system support to users including troubleshooting and training.
  • Maintain working relationship with application/technical vendors.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized diploma or degree program in Computer Science or Health Information Science.
  • Three years of recent related experience or equivalent combination.
  • May be required to travel and/or participate in an on call rotation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous specific racism and cultural safety.
  • Knowledge of legislative obligations and provincial commitments in health contexts.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to organize work and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively and operate related equipment.
  • Commitment to learning about Indigenous specific racism and dismantling systemic oppression.
  • Foundational knowledge of social, economic, and political realities of settler colonialism.

Schedule

  • Temporary, Full Time until May 2027.
  • Monday to Friday 08:00 16:00, on call may be required.

Compensation

  • $49.03 per hour.
