Purpose of Job
Experienced professional role conducted with general direction.
Develops solutions to operational challenges requiring analysis and resolution.
Addresses issues escalated from junior levels.
Core Operations
- Draft IT systems and database operations guidelines and standards.
- Lead software, hardware, operating system, and process installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Supervise operations and security patch implementation and vendor release notes.
- Troubleshoot complex incidents, identify root causes, and provide technical support.
- Monitor systems and applications daily and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
Operational Planning and Support
- Assess systems and database operational models and identify improvement areas.
- Gather business needs and oversee database design and capacity plans.
- Perform daily systems and database operations to maintain performance.
- Assess automation opportunities and build scripts for recurring operations.
- Develop maintenance plans, coordinate maintenance activities, and support junior team members.
