The Role
Aspen Technology supplies asset optimization software solutions focused on resource efficiency, sustainability, emissions reduction, and waste reduction.
The position works with software development and engineering teams to ensure quality through continuous integration and automated testing.
Your Impact
- Work with software development groups creating the product and engineering groups deploying it.
- Work with scrum teams to ensure high-quality products and customer satisfaction.
- Author, execute, and maintain test charters, cases, procedures, plans, automation scripts, and code.
- Design, develop, implement, and improve test methodologies, plans, and automation.
- Review defects, requirements, and designs and incorporate them into test plans.
- Perform installation automation, test automation, release automation, and system administration.
- Build and configure continuous integration setups for test environments.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong hands-on Python test automation experience.
- Software quality assurance or testing experience.
- Extensive knowledge of QA tools, methodologies, and automation testing best practices.
- High-level scripting skills in Python, Perl, and shell scripting.
- Ability to create and communicate testing status dashboards.
- Proficiency with Linux, Windows, and UNIX environments.
- Proficiency with a source control system such as CVS, Subversion, or Git.
- Experience with Agile QA methodology.
- Experience with Selenium, Robot, and Apache JMeter automation frameworks.
- Experience with MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, or other database technologies.
- Experience with VMware and vSphere server virtualization.
