Position Overview
Lucid is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II, Stator/Rotor for its resident product engineering organization in a manufacturing plant.
The role requires technical leadership through product, manufacturing, and organizational challenges in an ambiguous environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve component- and system-level problems and perform proactive root cause analysis for process deviations and critical part quality issues.
- Troubleshoot stator and rotor subassemblies and define assembly requirements, process flows, and manufacturing drawings.
- Support prototype builds, new product launches, part concessions, and high-volume production ramp activities.
- Lead product change management and recommend design changes that improve manufacturability, quality, serviceability, and robustness.
- Evaluate process capability, control charts, distributions, and correlations between process parameters and product performance.
- Lead cross-functional technical discussions and mentor technicians, production associates, and less-experienced engineers.
Requirements and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical or automotive engineering with 4 or more years of automotive experience, or a master's degree with 2 or more years of automotive experience, is specified.
- Technical awareness and troubleshooting experience with stator and rotor subassemblies are required.
- The posting cites product development, quality methods, Atlassian products, Catia or 3DX, stack-up analysis, SQL, and CAD in 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Six Sigma Green certification and Engineering-in-Training status or engineering fundamentals certification are listed.
