Position Overview

The Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager owns process capability, production readiness, process control, industrialization, continuous improvement, and capability building across AMP-2 Powertrain operations.

The role operates through disciplined change control, objective launch evidence, cross-functional problem solving, and structured transfer of technical ownership to the workforce.

Manufacturing Process Strategy and Industrialization

  • Develop process strategies and manufacturing standards.
  • Lead line balancing, process optimization, industrialization, and root cause analysis governance.

Process Engineering Support Leadership

  • Direct process engineering technicians and engineering build support.
  • Partner with Product Engineering and other functions on capability improvement, launch support, and new product introduction.
  • Own PFMEA, Control Plans, process capability, validation, error proofing, and robust process controls.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Automation and Robotics, EHS, IT/OT, MES, Supply Chain, Product Engineering, and suppliers.

Launch and Operational Readiness

  • Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, Safe Launch, volume ramp, readiness reviews, and operational escalations.
  • Own Safe Launch, run-at-rate, and capacity verification governance through SOP and volume ramp.
  • Chair launch readiness reviews, layered process audits, process confirmation routines, and QRQC or War Room escalations.

Continuous Improvement and TPM

  • Drive OEE improvement, cycle time reduction, waste elimination, structured problem solving, and cost improvement.
  • Support TPM through Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and Focused Improvement pillars.
  • Own equipment standards and portions of OEE, MTBF, and MTTR performance.

Industry 4.0 and Safety

  • Drive MES, IIoT, machine connectivity, historian analytics, and predictive maintenance deployment.
  • Enforce HV LOTO, HVIL continuity, mandatory HV PPE, and high-voltage emergency response procedures.
  • Comply with SASO, Saudi MOL, IEC 60204, ISO 13849, and IEC 62061 requirements.

Technical Function and Investment

  • Design the integrated Maintenance, Reliability, Automation, Robotics, Spares, and Manufacturing Engineering operating model.
  • Own technical Opex and Capex, lifecycle risk, obsolescence, service contracts, vendor performance, and make-or-buy decisions.
  • Build leadership succession and a multi-year Saudi technical capability pipeline.

Change Control and Readiness

Control production, process, software, and test changes through documented risk assessment, approvals, validation, and revision control.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop manufacturing process strategies and standards for powertrain operations.
  • Experience leading process optimization, industrialization, and root cause analysis governance.
  • Experience owning PFMEA, Control Plans, process capability, and process validation.
  • Experience with launch readiness, commissioning, Safe Launch, run-at-rate, and capacity verification.
  • Knowledge of OEE, cycle time reduction, waste elimination, and structured problem solving.
  • Experience with TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and Focused Improvement.
  • Experience deploying MES, IIoT, machine connectivity, historian analytics, and predictive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of HV LOTO, HVIL continuity, mandatory HV PPE, and high-voltage emergency response.
  • Knowledge of SASO, Saudi MOL, IEC 60204, ISO 13849, and IEC 62061 requirements.
  • Ability to manage technical operating and capital expenditure, lifecycle risk, obsolescence, vendors, and make-or-buy decisions.
  • Ability to build technical leadership succession and a Saudi technical capability pipeline.
  • Ability to control production, process, software, and test changes through documented risk assessment and validation.
