Operational Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, review, and revise project budgets by activity and resource type.
- Prepare and issue project cost reports, including accruals, forecasts, contingencies, and overruns.
- Prepare subcontractor progress reports and payment certificates.
- Investigate the causes of budget overruns and recommend corrective action.
- Prepare and check variation orders, claims, and supporting documents.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs using contract measurement methods.
- Conduct site visits and update project progress reports.
- Verify purchase requisitions and purchase orders against budgeted quantities, rates, and contract specifications.
- Analyze project data and prepare lessons learned focused on cost-affecting items.
- Coordinate with Planning on schedules, resource loading, and manpower and equipment productivity reports.
- Analyze contracts, tender documents, scope, specifications, cost drivers, and project risks.
- Prepare cost comparisons, value engineering, feasibility analyses, and budget-versus-estimate comparisons.
Technical Knowledge
- Use CMIC to record client billing, variation orders, delivery notes, subcontractor payment certificates, provisional costs, and site progress.
- Apply measurement and quantification methods with speed and accuracy.
- Analyze project KPIs and provide early warnings about overtime, productivity loss, price escalation, rework, unauthorized work, wastage, and resource idleness.
Role Requirements
- Good knowledge and skills in measurement and quantification methods.
- Ability to analyze and interpret contract documents, tender documents, scope, specifications, cost drivers, and risks.
