Role overview

Military shipment execution

• Support operational coordination and execution of Military One-Time-Only and other high-visibility shipments.
• Maintain a tracker covering milestones, responsibilities, and operational risks.
• Coordinate execution between Trade, CargoFlow, Operations, Customer Service, and Agency teams.
• Participate in weekly coordination meetings and ensure operational issues are resolved.
• Ensure APL shipments receive operational priority across the CMA CGM Group network.

Process and knowledge management

• Maintain a knowledge base covering military cargo specifications, unique ports, and operational constraints.
• Document operational challenges and lessons learned to improve pricing accuracy and execution reliability.
• Maintain reference directories for military logistics procedures, documentation requirements, and contacts.
• Execute standardized tracking and reporting processes across APL teams.

Pricing and billing

• Assist with preparation and coordination of annual USC-10 pricing submissions.
• Prepare data for lane analysis covering strategic opportunities among the top 100 military shipping lanes.
• Assist with billing exercises across APL Trade and ACGL teams.

Knowledge and skills

• Manage a high transaction workload and track multiple activities.
• Understand cross-border operations using multiple service partners.
• Understand U.S. State Department and U.S. Military logistics, shipping documents, and cargo tracking.
• Understand container shipping operations and global trade networks.
• Demonstrate strong coordination, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Use structured tracking systems and demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in container shipping, logistics, government cargo, or military transportation programs.
• One to three years of experience with U.S. Military logistics programs such as USTRANSCOM, MSC, or USC-10.
• Three to five years of experience coordinating complex cargo operations or government contracts.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, maritime studies, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Supply chain or logistics certification is preferred.

Compensation

• The expected salary range is $83,000 to $106,000 per year.
• The role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
