Role Overview
The intern will work within a shipping-line department and help optimize vessel loading capacity in a specific area.
The role is performed under the supervision of Line Management and supports trade, pricing, and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure agents apply the Line pricing policy to optimize budget results and vessel loading capacity.
- Handle quote requests from agents and clients.
- Prepare market research and statistics and communicate Key Performance Indicators to Line Management.
- Conduct competitive intelligence and provide recommendations.
- Participate in defining boarding priorities.
- Help prepare the sales budget and analyze budget results and variances to propose corrective actions.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing a five-year postgraduate degree in business, logistics, or transport.
- Have an initial experience in business or marketing activities.
- Be fluent in English and proficient with computer and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Demonstrate organization, self-reliance, entrepreneurship, communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
