About the Role
BYD Europe is seeking a Spare Parts Specialist for Commercial Vehicles in Dubai to manage end-to-end spare parts operations for EV trucks, buses, and vans across the MEA region. The role involves demand planning, inventory management, distributor coordination, and parts catalog maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Manage spare parts demand planning, stock level monitoring, and replenishment cycles to maintain optimal inventory at distributor and dealer levels
- Coordinate with BYD HQ and regional supply chain teams to ensure timely parts availability aligned with vehicle population growth across MEA
- Support distributor parts managers in executing purchase plans, managing slow moving stock, and achieving targeted parts fill rates
- Process and track parts orders, back orders, and emergency shipments, resolving supply issues with logistics and customs teams
- Maintain accurate parts catalogues, pricing schedules, and supersession data in coordination with BYD technical and commercial teams
- Monitor distributor compliance with BYD aftersales parts policies, including stocking requirements, storage standards, and reporting obligations
- Assist in developing and updating regional spare parts policy, purchase plan annexes, and parts business KPI frameworks
- Provide parts related technical support to service advisors and workshop teams, including parts identification for BYD EV platforms
- Track and report parts sales performance, gross margin contribution, and absorption rate data on a regular basis
- Provide spare parts management training to distributors on BYD related systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive spare parts operations, preferably in commercial vehicle or OEM aftersales
- Experience with Chinese automotive brands or EV platforms is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in dealer management systems (DMS) and parts inventory tools; SAP or similar ERP experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret parts sales data, inventory metrics, and supply chain KPIs
- Solid understanding of GCC automotive market, import regulations, and customs processes
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Detail oriented and organized, with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools is a plus
- Fluency in English required; Arabic or Mandarin language skills are an advantage

Position Overview
- Position: Spare Parts Specialist – Commercial Vehicles, based in Dubai, UAE.
- Reports to Aftersales Director CV, no subordinates.
- Authority: Parts ordering, BYD OEM coordination, Distributor coordination, EPC management.
- Responsible for managing end to end spare parts operations supporting BYD's EV truck, bus, and van lineup across MEA region.

- Support distributor parts managers in executing purchase plans and managing slow moving stock.
- Process and track parts orders, back orders, and emergency shipments.

- Assist in developing regional spare parts policy and KPI frameworks.

Main Duties
- Execute annual spare parts purchase plan and coordinate with distributors.
- Maintain parts inventory management system for data accuracy.
- Coordinate with logistics providers for inbound shipments and customs clearance.
- Conduct regular inventory audits at distributor locations.
- Prepare and distribute monthly parts performance reports.
- Liaise with BYD HQ parts team on new model introductions.
- Support warranty parts return processes.
- Assist in developing counter staff and parts personnel through training.
- Monitor market pricing and provide input into parts pricing strategy.
Requirements & Competencies
