Responsibilities
- Oversee and support all aspects of the Greek kitchen operations
- Assist Chef de Cuisine in coordinating and supervising daily running of the kitchen department
- Maintain highest culinary standards and ensure authentic high quality Greek cuisine
- Supervise and support team members to perform in line with job descriptions and standards
- Conduct daily on the job training and assist with monthly training programs
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations
- Oversee deliveries and ensure products meet quality, quantity, and price standards
- Monitor food production and storage to minimize waste and maximize cost efficiency
- Develop and present innovative ideas for authentic Greek dishes and seasonal menus
Requirements
- Minimum 2 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef specializing in Greek Cuisine within an upscale 5 star hotel or resort environment
- Strong culinary knowledge of authentic Greek cuisine
- Excellent personal and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility as a dynamic team player
- Commitment to delivering highest standards of food quality and guest service
- Excellent communication skills in English

Job Overview
- At One&Only, we exist to create joy for our guests. We are looking for a Sous Chef (Greek Cuisine) to join the culinary team at One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead by example in adhering to time and attendance standards.
- Ensure all areas of the Greek kitchen are checked, organized, and prepared.
- Supervise and support team members to perform in line with job descriptions.
- Ensure all kitchen staff report on time, are groomed, and comply with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Conduct daily on the job training and assist with monthly training programs.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Oversee and verify all deliveries, ensuring products meet standards.
- Monitor food production and storage to minimize waste and maximize cost efficiency.
- Regularly review staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing feedback and complaints.
- Develop and present innovative ideas for authentic Greek dishes and seasonal menus.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef specializing in Greek Cuisine within an upscale 5 star hotel or resort environment.
- Strong culinary knowledge of authentic Greek cuisine.
- Excellent personal and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility as a dynamic team player.
- Commitment to delivering highest standards of food quality and guest service.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional language an advantage.
