The Software Engineer will design, build, and scale Crusoe Cloud customer-facing platforms and managed services.
The position focuses on reliable cloud products that help users unlock the potential of Crusoe Cloud.
This is a full-time position.
What you will work on
- Build and scale foundational infrastructure services that manage critical cloud resources.
- Design scalable, durable, reliable platform services that prioritize ease of use.
- Lead cross-functional projects with engineering, cloud support, site reliability, and product teams.
- Implement features supporting operational efficiency, low-touch adoption, turnkey AI services, and scalability.
- Own software modules and service components from development through maintenance and refactoring.
- Design, develop, and deploy complex features across the full software development lifecycle.
- Create simple architectural solutions for difficult technical problems using advanced design patterns.
- Mitigate technical risks and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational health.
- Troubleshoot production failures and performance bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis, and implement systemic fixes.
- Mentor teammates, provide technical training, participate in code reviews, and optimize component performance.
What you will bring
- Experience designing and scaling fault-tolerant distributed systems and developing managed cloud services.
- Strong fundamentals in microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability technologies.
- Three to five years of software development experience using Go, Rust, Java, C++, or another modern compiled language.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Customer-focused communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex technical ideas.
- Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and an inclusive engineering culture.
Compensation
- Compensation is stated as up to $140,000-$165,000 plus bonus.
- Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
