About the Role
The Senior Construction Cost Estimator will drive cost modeling and financial accuracy across capital projects.
The role supports predictable project outcomes through detailed cost estimation and proactive cash flow forecasting.
What You’ll Work On
- Lead estimating, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting for data center projects from early planning through construction execution.
- Develop CAPEX cost models aligned with design progression, scope evolution, funding strategies, and business objectives.
- Prepare MEP and mission-critical infrastructure estimates for domestic and international projects.
- Evaluate contractor and vendor proposals through benchmarking, bid leveling, commercial analysis, and award recommendations.
- Deliver cost reports, dashboards, executive summaries, business cases, and funding analyses.
- Build benchmarking databases, unit-rate libraries, labor productivity assumptions, escalation models, and market intelligence tools.
- Support feasibility studies, preconstruction planning, value engineering, cost optimization, and estimating-process improvements.
- Maintain WBS structures, cost coding frameworks, and estimate-to-budget mappings across project functions.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 10+ years of estimating and cost management experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale high-tech infrastructure is strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in cost modeling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, benchmarking, and lifecycle cost management.
- Deep technical knowledge of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Proficiency with CostX, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms.
- Experience with procurement, bid evaluation, contractor selection, commercial analysis, and stakeholder decision-making.
- Strong analytical, communication, financial reporting, and presentation skills.
- Professional certifications such as AACE, RICS, CMAA, or CCP are a plus.
Travel
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
Compensation
- Compensation is listed in a range of up to $165,000–$210,000 plus bonus.
- Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
- Compensation is determined by knowledge, education, abilities, internal equity, and market data.
