Your Role And Responsibilities
- **Providing comprehensive technical assistance to both the Estimation and Sales teams. Ensuring adherence to company protocols, contract requirements, quality benchmarks, health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as meeting schedule commitments. Managing and supervising factory operations, fostering development, and enhancing standardized processes to enhance the efficiency of estimation support for the ELSE Division's sales team.**
- **This role is contributing to the Electrification Services (ELSE) in Middle East Africa (MEA) cluster.**
- **You will be mainly accountable for**:
- **Estimation support**: Spearheads the continuous enhancement of technical support for local or regional projects, guided by the ELSE M&S Manager.
- **Technical portfolio Management**: Ensures consistent management of the regional/local technical support portfolio, adhering to best practices and ABB policies.
- **Instructions and guidelines**: Provides support to estimation, sales, and global product teams, ensuring adherence to ABB policies. Develops, customizes, and Defines standard processes and new developments by incorporating ABB and external best practices.
- **Sales, Estimation, Projects execution and control**: Assists in identifying project pipelines and conducting technical needs assessments. Supports the design of call for proposals and selection processes. Develops strategies/methodologies for productive use support in sales, including approaches to technical needs assessment for all businesses.
- **Contract and claims Management**: Ensures consistent application of contract and claims management in projects, aligning with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
- **Stakeholder relations**: Cultivates and nurtures relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Serves as an escalation point for project management issues within ELSE teams.
- **Health, safety, and environment (HSE) Compliance**: Validates and supports that adequate HSE measures are taken in the respective project operations functions and that an HSE culture is implemented and maintained in the organization:
- **Sales support Team Organization**: Defines the organization of the estimation team in coordination with the sales team, assigning project team members based on competencies, customers, and availability.
- **Implementation of Estimation Tools**: Implement the estimation tools in accordance with global guidelines.
Technical & Product Interest
- Willingness to learn ABB's MV/LV switchgear, automation, and digitalization products
- Interest in understanding how spare parts support customer operations
- Collaborative team player
- Comfortable with basic commercial and sales concepts
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn SAP
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Entry level - less than 2 years of industry experience
- Background in sales support, customer service, engineering, or related field is a plus
