- Lead ABB’s Human Rights workstream, including defining strategic priorities and establishing its governance framework.
- Review and enhance ABB’s Human Rights Policy and Human Rights Due Diligence Frameworks to align with UNGPs.
- Provide strategic guidance to identify, assess, manage, and mitigate human rights risks globally.
- Assess and strengthen ABB’s Grievance Mechanism and Remedy processes.
- Support engagement with external stakeholders on human rights topics.
- Act as central point of contact for Sustainability and ESG legal matters within Automation Business Area.
- Provide strategic legal support on sustainability related regulatory requirements.
- Serve as subject matter expert on legal and integrity matters related to sustainability regulations.
- Design and deliver training materials related to Human Rights and Sustainability regulations.
- Monitor emerging Human Rights and Sustainability trends and legislation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, ideally in a global, cross functional environment
- Strong interest in Human Rights and Sustainability related matters
- Outstanding negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent advocacy, communication, and influencing skills
- Fluent in English
- Experience with a leading management consulting firm (MBB) is considered an advantage

Role Overview
- This dual role provides strategic leadership for the Human Rights sustainability workstream and expert legal guidance across Automation divisions.
- Reports to the PA Head of Strategy & Sustainability with a functional reporting line to the Head of Integrity for Automation Business Area.
- Open globally with preferred location in Middle East, Asia, Africa, or Europe.
- Work model: hybrid (#LiHybrid).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ABB’s Human Rights workstream, including defining strategic priorities and governance framework.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Law, with significant experience and strong interest in Human Rights and Sustainability.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, ideally in global cross functional environment.
- Outstanding negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent advocacy, communication, and influencing skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Highly self motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Demonstrates highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
