Job Description Summary

  • Develops, implements, and manages the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates sales activities, monitors current projects, and manages the resolution of specific customer problems.
  • Mission Statement: Responsible for sales of power distribution products/systems within a designated market (Middle East & Africa) in accordance with ABB Key account strategy.
  • Build long term customer relationships and manage solution to Chinese EPC oversea needs.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities, especially for Medium Voltage product and solution.

Main Accountabilities

  • Sales strategy: Plans and implements sales strategy and business development initiatives with target EPC key accounts.
  • Build up ABB key account plan in key segment of middle east country (Utility, Renewable, COG).
  • Achieves sales targets in respect of both MV products and solution efficiently.
  • Sales target: Develop business opportunities with Chinese EPC company and achieve sales budget of MV products and solutions.
  • Mission includes supporting export sales (RFQ and PO from local countries to ELDS China), giving feedback of market needs to LPL and coordinating with factories.
  • Work closely with both ABB China and ABB MEA.
  • Customer relations: Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs.
  • Promote customer full MV product/ solution offers, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • New market opportunities: Lead the team to identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
  • Identify power distribution sales opportunities and promote MV solutions to customers.
  • People leadership and development: Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, skilled and directed.
  • Leads, motivates and develops project team in different countries within sales policies.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Bachelor or master degree, Major in science or engineering (electric or automation major is preferred). Fluent in English, Chinese and preferable knowledge of Arabic.
  • At least 8 years sales experience in related power distribution and automation industries (oversea working experience or EPC customer experience is preferred).
  • Strong sales competency with power distribution and capability & knowhow in Utility and Oil Gas segment.
  • Self initiative and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong teamwork spirit and leadership.
  • Strong customer orientation and result driven.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and personal integrity.
