Role Overview

  • Drive service sales in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager to generate opportunities and deliver profitable growth.
  • Focus on installed base (IB) penetration and promote the full Service product portfolio in partnership with ABB service units.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that maximize share of wallet, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build lasting customer relationships by leading sales activities, monitoring project progress, and resolving customer needs with speed and effectiveness.

Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Identifying your account needs and position Digital & Advisory Portfolio solutions which add value to the customer assets.
  • Regularly update installed base in Service with changes made at site.
  • Generating opportunities leads to meeting the assigned sales targets.
  • Utilizes IB database to understand existing installed base and identifies sales opportunities for Service products and solutions.
  • Focuses on the entire Service portfolio to secure profit for assigned Business/Product Groups.
  • Own and implement electrification service (ELSE) sales strategies to ensure sustainable growth in orders and profitability.
  • Account and segment focus approach to position advanced services, replacements, retrofits & upgrades, etc.
  • Ensure all activities meet legal and ethical compliance requirements and prioritize employee safety.
  • Takes a One ABB approach to leverage other colleagues’ portfolios.
  • Establishes long term relationships by understanding customer requirements and demonstrating technical service product knowledge.
  • Registers customer feedback and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Plans and performs the right number of weekly sales visits, reporting them on CRM.

Qualifications for the role

  • Electrical Engineering Background
  • 10+ years of experience in service sales.
  • Proven track record as a service sales engineer for switchgears and protection relays.
  • Background in digital solutions is a plus
  • Previous engagement and customer relationships with major government end users entities and industrial customers in the region.
  • Strong technical expertise in selling service agreements is a plus
  • Strong English communication & Negotiation skills are a must
  • Innovative mind and interest to explore new ideas and build strong relationships – excellent networking skills
  • Out of the box thinking and exceptional problem solving skills
  • Relentless ownership, dedication, and thoroughness.
  • A collaborative, solutions oriented approach with proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
