About the Role
EGA is seeking a Senior Technician - Planning for the Recycling Cast House in Abu Dhabi. The role involves production planning, scheduling, coordinating with maintenance, and optimizing scrap use.

Responsibilities
- Assume overall responsibility for the production planning process within the Recycling Cast House to maximize production output.
- Optimize the use of available scrap to reduce costs while maintaining the highest product quality.
- Ensure production is carried out safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Ensure the continuous availability of the correct scrap, alloys, prime metal, and consumables.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Process work orders through to completion by determining priorities, scope of work, start and completion dates, manpower requirements, materials, and any special requirements.
- Initiate and prepare store authorization forms, store amendments, purchase enquiries/requisitions, and computer data entry forms.
- Review preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and instructions and modify them as requested.
- Issue preventive maintenance schedules to the relevant Energy Supervisor in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide PM conformance charts for each AP/month.
- Review and update spare parts descriptions and inventory levels within the SAP system.
- Issue work orders and work order backlog reports as required.
Requirements
- Completion of 50% of an HNC program, a recognized Diploma, or an equivalent qualification
- 5 years of relevant plant experience
- 2 years of experience at PG8 level
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Purpose
- Assist in ensuring that production orders in the Recycling Cast House are planned and scheduled efficiently to maximize product output in the safest and most cost effective manner.
Key Accountabilities
- Assumes overall responsibility for the production planning process within the Recycling Cast House to maximize production output.
- Optimize the use of available scrap to reduce costs while maintaining the highest product quality.
- Ensure production is carried out safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Ensure the continuous availability of the correct scrap, alloys, prime metal, and consumables.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, minimizing breakdowns and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Processes work orders through to completion by determining priorities, scope of work, start and completion dates, manpower requirements, materials, and any special requirements.
- Initiates and prepares store authorization forms, store amendments, purchase enquiries/requisitions, and computer data entry forms, while utilizing spare parts manuals to accurately complete related activities.
- Reviews preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and instructions and modifies them as requested by Energy Department management.

Qualifications & Skills
