About the Role
EGA is seeking a Field Operator to ensure smooth operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, and associated plant equipment in Abu Dhabi. Requires 4 years power station experience and a Higher Secondary School Certificate.

- Operate gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers, and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Record routine parameter readings and report deviations
- Inform supervisor or control room of abnormalities or equipment problems
- Ensure standby equipment is readily available for emergency service
- Assist in routine testing and re commissioning of plant after maintenance outages
- Adopt safe working practices and identify hazards
- Maintain good housekeeping standards
- Be conversant with emergency procedures for equipment in area of responsibility
- Carry out on the job training
Requirements
- Higher Secondary School Certificate
- 4 years experience in a power station
- 2 years work experience as Desalination Operator or equivalent
- English language skills (Intermediate 3 or equivalent)
- Basic numeracy skills
- Ability to understand single line diagram

Job Purpose
- Ensure smooth and continuous operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers, associated plant equipment and utility services in designated area, safely and efficiently as instructed by Shift Supervisor or Main Control Room Operator.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure all plant and equipment are operated safely and efficiently.
- Carry out instructions promptly and efficiently.
- Record routine parameter readings regularly and report deviations.
- Inform Supervisor or control room of abnormalities or equipment problems.
- Ensure standby equipment is readily available for emergency service.
- Assist in routine testing and re commissioning of plant after maintenance outages.
- Adopt safe working practices to ensure personal and plant safety.
- Identify hazards and participate effectively in reporting system.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Be fully conversant with emergency procedures for equipment in area of responsibility.
- Carry out on the job training.
- Strive to achieve increased competency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Qualifications: Higher Secondary School Certificate.
- Minimum Experience: 4 years in a power station; 2 years as Desalination Operator (PG7) or equivalent.
- Skills: Achieved competencies except DCR operation; English language (Intermediate 3); communication; basic numeracy; ability to understand single line diagram; IT skills; problem solving; planning and organising; interpersonal; teamwork.
